Circa 1900
An electro plated nickel silver Flask with 4 beakers by Walker and Hall of Sheffield.
The flask is made with a lip to its body to fit it to the gilt washed beakers. The flask is stamped to its base with the company’s flag logo above
Walker & Hall Sheffield and the model number 1137. It also has 1 stamped between the flag and 22 towards the edge. The beakers are simply stamped with the flag logo, 1 and E.P.N.S. The cork lined cap has a bayonet fitting. The leather case is well made, lined in suede and has a hole to the base to aid removal of the beakers and flask. Its shoulder strap is missing and the strap for the buckle is damaged.
This flask is marked, R. Wilkinson 1929. The set along with other treasures were part of an inheritance to Margaret. She recalls hearing tales of a great uncle that travelled around the globe and assumes that it was his. We love this story regardless if it travelled with him or not!
